As a leading enterprise in Vietnam's steel industry, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Group continues to promote industrial upgrading during its sustained development. Its 2# 160T dry quenching coke masonry and installation project is a key project in the company's development process.
This project is located in the Dung Quat Economic Zone, Quang Ngai Province, Vietnam, and is large in scale. The construction content covers the masonry and installation of core equipment such as dry quenching furnaces, primary dust collectors, and boilers. Among them, the dry quenching furnace adopts an advanced cylindrical vertical kiln structure, consisting of a cooling chamber, an inclined channel area, and a pre-storage chamber. The volume of the cooling chamber is determined comprehensively based on the maximum processing capacity of the dry quenching coke device, the coke stacking density, and the dry quenching time. The height-to-diameter ratio is within the reasonable range of 0.8-1.1 to ensure efficient operation.
In terms of technology application, the project uses high-strength, wear-resistant, and rapid cooling and heating-resistant high-quality refractory materials for the masonry of key parts, such as the straight section masonry of the cooling chamber and the annular air duct masonry of the pre-storage chamber; the inclined channel partition wall and the charging port use refractory bricks with high bending and compressive strength, good toughness, and ultra-high strength, combined with refractory slurry with sufficient cold bending and bonding strength, to ensure the stable operation of the equipment.
The implementation of this project is of great significance. It not only helps Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Group improve coke quality and reduce production costs, but also effectively recovers waste heat for power generation, achieving energy saving and emission reduction. It plays a demonstration and leading role in the green and sustainable development of Vietnam's steel industry and promotes further development of the regional economy.
